Are you putting in LOOOOONG hours at your office job? Are you getting plenty of satisfaction from all that work? Well, according to Gallup less than one-third of workers are “involved in, enthusiastic about and committed to their work and workplace.”
If you are among the more than two-thirds of workers not loving your job, why don’t you do something about it today? Remaining in a job you don’t like is not caring for yourself, or your loved ones.
Moreover, if you are disengaged in your work, you run the risk of not putting in the time and effort to keep your skills up to date. Your attitude reveals a great deal of what you’re feeling. And, you very well might get over looked for promotions, and may even be asked to leave. Given that so many of you expect to work longer before you retire, it seems especially risky to stay in a job today that doesn’t bring out the best in you.
Ask yourself, “Why am I unhappy?” I would bet you would be able to figure that out pretty darn quick! Is there anyway to overcome those issues and roadblocks in your work attitude?
If you know in your bones that it is time to move on to a new opportunity, what are you waiting for?! Be kind to yourself . . . leave that little cubicle behind and seek out a fresh new work opportunity.

My husband and I are retired pastors. We LOVE what we do in ministering to others who have experienced child loss. It is hard work, but very rewarding. We love people and love to help them make a better life for them and their families.
